Andris has been a professional brewer since 1994. He has studied at the American Brewers Guild and gone on to install brew systems at start-up operations in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Florida. Having brewed GABF award winning beers, he now brings those great beers directly to you. Oh yeah, he loves beer!
Peter has been selling his whole life. Now he is selling what he loves, BEER! BEER! BEER!!!
Our brew house has a capacity of brewing 20 barrels at a time, that's about 620 gallons
per batch. The beer spends the first 7-9 days in a primary fermenting vessel after which it
is transferred to a secondary fermenter. There it is chilled to around 40 degrees for another
7-10 days. At this time it is ready to be filtered carbonated and kegged.
Ready for all to enjoy.
The Blue Hills were so named by early European explorers who, while sailing along the coastline, noticed the bluish hue on the slopes when viewed from a distance. More than 1,000 years before those Europeans arrived, Native Americans made their home in the hills. The natives referred to themselves as Massachusett, or "people of the great hills". Now the Great Blue Hill shares its name with great beers.
